Carpal Instability - SLAC, SNAC, wrist arthritis, and salvage procedures Sat, Oct 30 4:30-6:00 p.m. EDT

This course will discuss management of chronic wrist injuries, including diagnosis, reconstruction and when to move toward salvage procedures.

At the end of this activity participants will be able to:

  1. Understand wrist anatomy and carpal biomechanics.
  2. Discuss the natural history of SLAC and SNAC wrists and treatment options by stage.
  3. Discuss technical pearls of wrist denervation, proximal row carpectomy, and selective fusions.
  4. Discuss indications for total wrist arthrodesis and surgical approach.
