Replantation Surgery in the 21st Century: What to Save, What to Put in the Bucket Sat, Oct 22

Replantation remains one of the most challenging surgeries for hand surgeons, This course will present techniques and tips of how to achieve optimal outcomes in various level replantations. Avoidance of and management of common complications will be discussed.

At the end of this activity participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss relative indications and contraindications for replantation surgery.

  2. Outline recent technical advances including venous flaps during replantation.

  3. Discuss contemporary data regarding replantation success and functional outcomes.

  4. Describe secondary surgery options following replantation.
