The role of prehabilitation is increasingly being recognized for its preoperative contribution to satisfactory outcomes after elective surgery. This panel will adopt an evidence-based approach to aspects of prehabilitation before reconstructive surgery, including smoking cessation, nutritional supplementation, physical exercise, psychosocial conditioning, and stress reduction. Additionally, panelists will share their practical approach to prehabilitation within their respective subspecialties.
