Using Ultrasounds in Reconstructive Surgery: Flap Markings & Perforator Selection Friday, September 27 Fri, Sep 27 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. PDT
This course will present hands-on education in the use of high-definition ultrasound for the reconstructive surgeon, including perforator identification, perforator selection, flap selection, flap design, and as an adjunct to planning in lymphedema surgery. Participants may serve as volunteers to facilitate demonstrations and markings.
At the end of this activity participants will be able to: 1. Learn how to effectively incorporate ultrasound technology into reconstructive surgery by gaining insights into the principles of using ultrasounds for flap markings and perforator selection. 2. Acquire proficiency in ultrasound-based techniques for identifying vascular structures, allowing for precise flap planning and enhancing the surgeon's ability to optimize surgical outcomes. 3. Equip participants with the knowledge and skills to navigate challenges in reconstructive surgery through ultrasound-guided flap markings, providing a valuable tool for improved patient care.
