Ultrasound has become an increasingly valuable tool in facial injection procedures due to its ability to provide real-time imaging and enhance precision. Ultrasound imaging is used in a variety of ways including:
- Anatomical Mapping
- Guidance for Injection Placement
- Assessment of tissue depth
Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:
- Understand how ultrasounds are used in the location of muscles, nerves, blood vessels and fat pads.
- Recognize the importance of depth information for various types of injectables.
- Identify how ultrasounds assist in minimizing complications and bruising.
