Panelists will discuss:
- Mastectomy problems such as symmastia, IMF obliteration, buttonholes and poor skin flaps.
- Flap Failure Forensics including the causes of flap failures and as well as strategies for prevention and salvage.
- Implant-Related Issues: capsular contracture and implant rupture, and exploring effective management techniques.
- Infection and Wound Healing: Identifying risk factors for infection and poor wound healing.
- Long-Term Aesthetic Challenges: Addressing issues related to symmetry, scarring, and revisions
Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify at least one cause for a flap failure and mitigation approaches against the failure.
- Recognize infection risk factors.
- Identify approaches to minimize scarring and asymmetry.
