Force Multiplier: How You and Your PA / NP Work Together to Improve Patient Access Thu, Sep 26 5:00-6:00 p.m. PDT

NPs and PAs have become an essential part of Plastic Surgery practices to improve access and optimize patient care. The purpose of this panel is to discuss strategies for NP/PA’s to increase patient access, triaging of non-operative patients, surgical optimization, and conversion rate to surgery within an ASPS members practice. We will discuss various onboarding strategies, clinic flow, and clinic model variations to achieve this goal. There will also be an emphasis on ways to effectively have a long-term and fulfilling relationship with ASPS member surgeon practice.

At the end of this activity, attendees will be able to:

  1. Identify models that allow more patients to enter the practice for evaluation and eventual surgery.
  2. Identify available strategies to get patients prepared for surgery and ensure a safe outcome.
  3. Determine the financial ramifications of adding an NP, PA to your practice in the short and long term.
